Mocrac (December 17 2004)
Title: Cash Is King Format: CD Copyright:
MocracTracks:
Debut 12 track album, mixing funky electronica with some clever sampling
and lush female vocals.
- Happy (feat. Cathy Davey)
Written and arranged by
Maurice Ferriter,
under the guise of Mocrac, "In My Pocket" is a collaborative piece utilising
the vocal talents of Cathy Davey. Mocrac is similar in many regards to the
like of Tricky in that he uses different artists on different songs to
achieve the desired effect. All compositions are written and co-produced by
Maurice, who has only been writing music for the last two years. Although
very European in flavour, 34 year old Maurice originally hails from
Letterkenny, but think croissants and coffee as opposed to the full Irish.
His ability to mix smooth French soul, German future lounge and Bristol
beats makes this a uniquely accessible composition. Maurice's influences
include Leonard Cohen, Jacques Brel, Serge Gainsbourg and Daft Punk. |
