Independent Records: "Title : Zip up your Boots fro the Showbands Catalog : Jerk 001 Release Date : August '96 Label : Kneejerk Records Zip up your Boots was originally put together by the Dead Elvis, blunt and Independent labels to coincide with "In the city", an annual industry schmooze fest which found it's way to Dublin. The intention was to show there was more to Dublin then bands chasing huge record deals and dreaming of expense accounts in Lillies Bordello. With this in mind we received some funding from The Irish Trade Board and put the whole thing together in a week. During "In the city" the album was given away at gigs. Then it was put on sale at a ridiculously low price. However we did mess up on our alternative packaging, the ultra thin plastic wallet made it fall off the shelves in shops and was impossible for journalists to find in their stack of free CD's."

Title: Split 7" with Dot Creek (December 28 1999) Format: 7" Cat. No: RR7-002 Copyright: Road Relish
A. Lamplight - Jubilee Allstars B. Cast - Dot Creek
This single is part of the Road Relish singles club which releases a split seven inch every two months. Our song is preview of our new album Lights of the City and is coupled with Dot Creeks excellent Cast.
"Well, those nice Jubilee Allstars give us "Lamplight", with slightly croaky vocals reminiscent of Belle & Sebastian, although the music seems to be more influenced by bouncy soul music than the usual acoustics-round-the-campfire stuff. The production is what the word 'lo-fi' was invented for, and I still prefer 'Better than I know Myself', but it's still quite a charming little ditty."

Artist: The 19th Bar Format: 7" Cat. No.: volt 2 Copyright: Volta Sounds
Tracks: A. The Handsome Family - I Know You Are There B. The Nineteenth Bar - Don't Be Gone Too Long
"Similar to the Handsome Family's contribution, the 19th Bar side is another love song of sorts. Gram Parsons used to speak of the "cosmic music" and this, for me, is the sound of the cosmos, via Dublin. The line-up of Barry McCormack (Jubilee Allstars), Joe Doyle (The Frames), Brian Rice (Jubilee Allstars) and Graham Hopkins (Therapy?) may sound incongruous on paper. In reality, it's a heart-pounding country-rock harmony revue. Maybe we'll get them to play live again sometime."
